Here are some Crochet tips:

Remember to add extra chains to yourbeginning chain when using taller stitches. You need1 turning chain for single crochet, 2 chains for halfdouble crochet, 3 chains for double crochet and 4chains for treble crochet. For example, if the originalpattern is a multiple of 6 + 3, that means eachpattern repeat takes 6 stitches and the chain-3 isthe number of chains to make after turning the endof row. The chain-3 would represent the height of adouble crochet and usually counts as the first stitch ofthe next row, so if you change from double to treblecrochet, chain 4 (1 chain increased) instead of chain3. If the original pattern is worked in single crochet,unless instructed otherwise, chain 1 at the beginningof a new row and follow pattern across. Whenchanging from single crochet to double crochet, youneed to add two extra chains to your beginning chain.Actual Crochet TimeWhile many patterns provide an approximatelength of time to make a project, the truth is,everyone works at their own pace. The timerequired to crochet anything is actual crochettime! It’s easy to spend an evening crochetingan afghan and if you begin at 7 p.m. and stop at10 p.m., you are likely to think you spent threehours crocheting. A phone call from your bestfriend, fixing a snack, taking a bathroom breakor stopping to help a child with homeworkmeans those interruptions are not actualcrochet time.There are two quick ways to determinehow long it will take you to make any crochetproject.1. Basically, there are two ways to decrease the

crochet time required to complete a project:

1. Change a single crochet to a taller stitch: half

double crochet, double crochet or even a treble

crochet stitch.

2. Use a larger hook.

Additionally, always work in back bar of the

chain on row 1 for a more finished look.

Simply changing to a taller stitch, for example

Because each of the four swatches shown was

worked with the same size hook, the width

remains constant.

Increasing the height of the stitch means you

need to crochet fewer rows with each hook size

increase. How easy is that?

Summer vacation is over...Back to crafting...

Summer holidays is over.....Now, I am back preparing more items, getting ready for listing. My new crafts are on the way to be listed soon on my online shops.....Got more and more to prepare to share worldwide.

New collections as well for my felted items will soon be listed....I love the way wet felting is, because you can make various possibilities on whatever you want to do on it, be on a form, a design,like painting on wool,flowers,scarves,clothing, freeforms on whatever you want to design. It is an art, one of the oldest and simplest techniques for making fabric. It requires no specialized equipment or skill. You can achieve delightful results experimenting with wool and basic tools found around the house. This ‘how-to’  provides basic wet felting tips – additional info can be found on-line and easy steps to follow.

Apart from my crochet and knitting, I also spend my time on felting and my patterns as well...

FORUM PLACE OR WHAT?

Today I headed to one thread on forum discussions to get ideas on my shop and how I could improve to get more views and more sale. I have read some comments for a tread that has brought my attention as well. Then I also created a thread about asking if someone might be interested to view and comment my new shop for me to improve and may help me gain more views and sales in the end. To my surprise, one person commented like this....Sorry I can not help you or give you any advice. I am new and I want to know more from those who are already there online for sometime selling here and there.....But people just comment what they want should not be like that. Think as well that person is asking a help or idea and if you have nothing to advice of, should there be freedom of speech for you to just tell what you want to someone who is sıncerely asking or needs some help? If I could not give any piece of advice to some threads, why should I, but if I got some great ideas to help someone else, I would gladly open it up and share to the whole world without compromise.

Well, maybe the freedom of speech in today's generation have overwhelmed my expectations yet I do believe there are still people out there who are kind and helpful to share a helping hand rather than be rude. We do not need to be rude or rationalize others as people have feelings no matter who they are, not to consider customs,beliefs,race and nationality. Respect others feelings even if you do not know them in person, even communication is just through this online world, well people behind that thread have also feelings. Maybe you might think you did not hurt them but the way you comment to them might disappoint them.

Somehow, I wish and pray for everyone to help make the online community a good place to hang around and not to rationalize or disappoint each other.

FREE PATTERN CROCHET

Hairpin lace is wonderful to make, more time needed especially if you are new to it, but when the piece is done, I really love the outcome.

Here is an inspirational pattern that you can make for hairpin lace motif. You can use the technique to make shawls, scarves and more. It is best for mohair yarns (not totally 100%mohair yarns) for finer and smooth finished product.

This pattern has been pinned at Pinterest and I have used it for my shawl pattern and it came out very nice. I love chart pattern better than written pattern because I can easily get the idea of the the chart even though some patterns are not in English language.
